Rick Santorum has a rather interesting message for attendees of the “Values Voter Summit” on Saturday, and the fact that they applauded his message is frighteningly telling.
“We will never have the media on our side, ever, in this country. We will never have the elite, smart people on our side, because they believe they should have the power to tell you what to do. So our Colleges and Universities – they’re not going to be on our side”
“The basic premise of America and American values will always be sustained through two institutions — the church and the family,”
Anyone seen the movie Idiocracy? Yup, smart people are bad!
I think it’s fair to say that Santorum was more than a little pissy with this student.
All of these associations prove is that they have a point of view and the people who join them agree with that point of view. That’s not evidence. An organization supporting a provision is not evidence that benefits society.
