There’s a good book you just have to read! It’s filled with good, evil and magic!

Rev. Paul A. Johnson from West Des Moines calls out those who are deliberately misreading the bible or lying about the biblical notion of  marriage in order to support their own views.

Bob Vander Plaats, at the rally against equal marriage rights, said, “lets stick to the way God designed it – one man and one woman, period” (‘Rallies Promote, Oppose Vote on Marriage,” March 21).

When will folks like Vander Plaats, who claim to be good Christians, stop lying to us about the history of marriage?

The Old Testament patriarchs had multiple wives and concubines. Solomon has 1,000. There is no Old Testament passage that says God designed marriage between one man and one woman.

The New Testament does restrict bishops to one wife.

I am not impressed when opponents of equal marriage support their arguments with statements they know are false.

What would happen if children weren’t brainwashed from the time they could speak?

Some people believe that this one book contains everything they need to know to rear their child and be a successful parent.

This was going to be a really long post, full of insightful commentary and literary genius.. but I figured….
