Church Sign’s Message May Surprise You

Initially we thought this sign had to be fake, but a story on UM Portal says otherwise. According to the story, Rev. Tom Tate was looking for a message to put up on the sign in between church announcements, and decided to run this one. He had no idea it would end up being photographed and going viral online, until he started getting phone calls from all over the country. He said reactions ranged from thankfulness for such a loving message, to a woman from TX who’s son is an atheist, and she was ‘terrified he would see this’. He said the reactions were mostly positive, and we are glad to see there are clergy capable of understanding that you don’t have to have religion to be a good person.
